Multiple drug arrests

Several people are facing drug charges following investigations by multiple law enforcement agencies.

According to a press release, the Harlan County Sheriff’s Office and the Appalachia Narcotics Investigations team arrested several from Harlan County on drug trafficking charges. The arrests were a combined effort resulting from undercover drug investigations conducted by the two entities. Detectives were assisted by deputies with the Harlan County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky State Police troopers. The combined efforts resulted in 11 individuals being charged with 22 drug trafficking charges stemming from investigations conducted by the Harlan County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Detectives and Detectives from Appalachia Narcotics Investigations. Police also served four Harlan County District Court bench warrants and a Harlan County child support warrant.

The Appalachia Narcotics Investigations team is made up of members from the Harlan County Sheriff’s Office, the Kentucky State Police, the Bell County Sheriff’s Office and the Pineville City Police Department.

Additional warrants are outstanding and additional arrests are pending.

Those arrested include:

Edward Bledsoe, 47, of Baxter, three counts of first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (methamphetamine);

Eric Albro, 34, of Dayhoit, two counts of first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (methamphetamine);

Harvey Middleton, 36, of Wallins, first-degree trafficking a controlled substance;

Erica Edens, 26, of Wallins, first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (methamphetamine);

David Estes, 34, of Dayhoit, first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (methamphetamine);

Geneva Rhymer, 42, of Baxter, first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (methamphetamine);

Nathan Massingale, 36, of Wallins, three counts of first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (methamphetamine);

Tracy Taylor, 42, of Mary Alice, two counts of first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (methamphetamine);

Malachi Hodge, 28, of Coldiron, four counts of first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (methamphetamine), second- and third-degree trafficking a controlled substance;

Gregory Stephens, 42, of Coldiron, first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (methamphetamine);

Bryan Tompkins, 28, of Baxter, first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
