Local schools display pumpkin art

This fun project allowed students and teachers to collaborate, design and create their favorite character(s) from a fictional book using pumpkins. The friendly contest inspired creativity and encouraged collaboration among classmates.</p>

Students had to choose a favorite book character and decorate their pumpkin. They were brought to the CES library and put on display for students and parents to walk through and look at. Students who participated received extra credit in their language arts classes. This parent/child activity was sponsored by the CES librarian, Dana Hogue, the CES FRYSC and the CES 21st CCLC.</p>
