Portion of KY 72 in Harlan Co. will continue to be reduced to 1 lane

MANCHESTER — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that a portion of KY 72 in Harlan County (milepoint 8.63) will continue to be reduced to one lane and is expected to conclude Dec. 15.

Traffic will be maintained by flaggers Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Temporary traffic signals will be used during non-working hours.

The lane closure is necessary to allow KYTC crews to perform maintenance operations.

KYTC asks motorists to be aware of the work zone, expect delays, and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.

The date, time and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
