ARH hosts appreciation carnival, wellness fair
This fall, Appalachian Regional Hospitals (ARH) combined its annual employee appreciation events with a Wellness Fair traveling from one ARH facility to the next throughout September and October. The events featured carnival games and provided ARH employees with various health screenings. Attendees were entered to win special gifts including iPads, Beats headphones, PTO days, and more.
ARH team members from each community were invited to step right up to the carnival
midway where classic games such as Duck Pond, Ring Toss, & Wheel of Fortune were accompanied by sweet and salty treats like popcorn, caramel apples, and cotton candy to provide a real carnival atmosphere.
All attendees received a special Team ARH t-shirt with “Just for the Health of It”, the theme of this year’s wellness fair/carnival crossover, printed across the back. With wellness as a major focus of the events, screenings such as blood pressure, blood glucose, and grip strength were provided on site.
The events had great turnouts and were overall a huge success for ARH and its employees. ARH is looking forward to more opportunities like these annual recognition days to continually show gratitude and appreciation for the people working hard to uphold its mission of service and sacrifice to each of the ARH communities.
