A three-day revival is scheduled for the Cumberland Missionary Baptist Church on Sept. 20-22. The speaker will be the Rev. Donnie Adkisson, pastor of the Evarts Baptist Church.

Special music will be provided for each service, with the choir from the Evarts Baptist Church singing on the Wednesday; Tammie Chapman on Thursday; and Pat North on Friday. These individuals and groups will be joined by the Praise Team from the Cumberland Baptist Church.

Rev. Dennis Williams, church pastor, said he was particularly pleased that Rev. Adkisson was able to lead the revival, “He is a wonderful preacher and great man of God, and we are very happy that he could come to preach to our church and the community.”

“Our community, state and nation are facing perilous times,” Rev. Williams said, adding that “revival is needed now more than ever. We are hopeful for a strong turnout from the Tri-City area and from throughout the region”
